There should be a default setting for events
There should be a default setting for events. Like for example, you should be Obel to set the default time, calendar, alert.

Past event views
The app only lets me view past events of a month. I use my calendar to keep track of past events as much as future. Not happy it erases my calendar history

Be able to create event categories with different colors so you could distinguish between events that can repeat e.g. Travel, Work, Birthday
If you have different categories and can select color for that category it would make easier to distinguish different events, e.g. Work - blue, travel - green, birthday - yellow and so on. This way you could just select category for an event and it would assign appropriate color to the event.
8 votesCreate several calendars in iCal, then assign color for each. Then you can see those calendars in AwesomeCalendar also.

Google calendar already supports this. It would be nice to have that option in the event

I could hide my useless iPhone calendar and just use yours exclusively. It would help a lot!!

Use photo as the background
Wanna hv more customization of the calendar like changing color of individual items or even adding photos as background of the calendar!:)

I would like to see the ability to import a picture/image into the background of each month. (ya, kinda similar to another app out there.)
Ability to import a photo from your iPod or iPhone library to use as a background for each month. This would be a great addition, and liven up the white background. Awesome app. Without it though.
